| Captain and Co-Captains in Pre-Race 'Cuddle' (Strategic planning, a pep talk, and trying to stay warm!!!) Midnight Run 2006 Approximately 8 pm - 93 miles ahead of us with a temperature of 44 degrees BELOW zero, and a wind speed of 50 MPH. Mother Nature sent us a blizzard throughout the night. The veterinarians were 'snowed-in' at the checkpoints. The UP 200 was running simultaneously and officials called that race for the safety of the teams and their drivers. SNOMAD made it through!! The girls brought us all home...below you can see the Team Captain was excited, exhausted, and so proud of her team. |
